The Chateauguay Valley Career Centre is involved with many school and community events each year. These events help foster pride in what we do while helping our students to get involved with the community that we serve.
Open House
Our doors are always open at the Career Centre for interested clients and community partners!
In addition to this “open” invitation, we have an annual Open House when we open our doors to the public from 9:00am until 8:00pm. This is great opportunity to see our students in action in their profession, ask a bunch of questions and to get a feel for what it is like to be part of our team.
The Open House this year will be held on Thursday, April, 27 th, 2006.

Community Projects
Ormstown Skate-Board Park
This past year, the adult education students at the centre worked on a community project. Along with their teacher Marie-Claire Charlebois, the group decided that building a Skate Park in the town of Ormstown would be an interesting and challenging concept. Community support, fundraising, along with funds from the Mayor and secretary-treasurer helped financed the construction of the park. Two ramps were built and installed in June 2005 by Don Gillies, one of the construction carpentry teachers, and the carpentry students. The official opening and press release was held in July 2005.
An example of one of our community projects!
