Program Objectives

To enable students to acquire the knowledge, skills and attitudes required to aid housebound people become more autonomous so as to prevent their personal and family life from deteriorating; to help handicapped or elderly people remain at home; and to improve the living conditions of house-bound people by ensuring that their physical surroundings are organized as functionally as possible.

Employment Prospects

Even though this program is geared to the maintenance of the infirm at home, our graduates are also being employed by CLSC's, private homes, hospitals and other health care institutions. Some graduates have opened their own nursing homes while others are self-employed.
